Theme Bubble Chart
It was great to have families join us yesterday evening for our first virtual meet-up for Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson.
For last night's event, we created theme bubble charts that help us visualize examples from the book and our own connections that tie to a theme of our choice.
Remember we can make many different connections! Like text to self, text to text, and text to world.
We also highlighted the themes of family, identity, and community. Check out the theme bubble chart examples below and look for updates to Miss Kristy's chart as we read Brown Girl Dreaming!
Feel free to comment on this post with your own ideas for your theme bubble chart!
